The python slithered
Down a rock
The sky was clear
The stars and Moon too big
I draw my blanket closer
And try to accept
That I had lost my way
- Again!
The desert stretches
Neverendingly.
Water is sparse
The Sun beats down incessantly
And I have lost the will to fight.
My mirage-chasing mind
Is finally at rest.
Running my fingers
Lightly over cactus thorns
